The Kama Sutra
Vatsyayana
The ancient Sanskrit text on human sexuality, erotic love, and emotional fulfillment, composed sometime between the third and fifth centuries CE. While only one section of the seven-part text concerns sexual positions, it became synonymous with erotic literature in the West and was banned in the United States until 1962; it remains banned or restricted in numerous countries due to its explicit sexual content.
